O Lord Who Pours Water on the Thirsty Ground

O Lord who pours water on the thirsty ground and streams on the dry places, we come to you as your fields, your forests, your fractured earth. Fires have taken what took centuries to grow. Floods have swept away what took lifetimes to build. We confess our part in this unraveling — our appetite, our haste, our forgetting that the earth is yours, not ours to spend. Pour out your Spirit as you promised through Isaiah, on our children and their children after them. Teach us to ask, seek, and knock — not only for ourselves, but for every creature groaning under a warming sky. Give us the courage to change. Amen.
